I've spent the last ten years working out what separates food writers who get results from those who don't. The difference is rarely talent. It's almost always direction, focus and a willingness to take feedback on the chin; to choose resilience over sensitivity, and action over self-protection.
If we're going to work together, the first thing you need to know is that I'm Australian. Which means I can be warm and encouraging – but I don't sugarcoat things. You'll be told how it is. I'm an expert editor, coach and strategist who specialises exclusively in food writing – and I write myself. I've authored cookbooks, been a regular contributor to The Sunday Times, Time Out and BBC Good Food, and I've been commissioning and editing food writers for over thirty years.
